Summer Skiing

Today, Sunday May 31, we skiied at Snowbird. The resort is projected to stay open until June 14 but the snow was melting fast today and skiing top to bottom won't happen for long.

Ian took one run in the backpack. Dustin carried him for half the run and I carried him for the last half. Carrying him was much harded than we thought. It was easily and extra 45 lbs and he would lean to the left and throw you off balance. He loved it though and would yell, "I like it!" and "Mommy Go!", "Daddy Go!", "Dane Go!"

Trophies, Trophies and More Trophies

(Dane is in the red helmet)
The BMX season started two weeks ago. Dane has had 2 practices and 2 races. He now has 3 trophies. Now multiply one trophy per week by 15 weeks. I am not a math mathmatician or anything but that is a lot of trophies. Also, Ian does the BIG Wheel ride each week and gets a trophy too. Basically we will need to convert an empty room into the Trophy room.

Summer Cuts

Dane was set on having a Mohawk haircut and wanted he and Ian to be twins.
I like the change. Dane has never had short hair and, to be honest, I was worried about what his ears would look like.
Don't they look so cute?!

Happy Birthday!

IAN
is
2
!
I can't believe my little E-Man is 2 already. We had a small party this year with only his grandparents. It was perfect and Ian felt so special. Dustin and I got him his very own Jeep. I think Dane likes it even more than Ian actually. Ian enjoys Dane taking him on rides. Ian doesn't quite get the whole steering thing so he mostly just runs into things. Dane is really a little rough with it and treats it like a real Jeep. Dane's fav thing to do is jump it and go really fast down the driveway and then spin it. This jeep may not last too long with the beating it will get but it will be the best money ever spent since it keeps the kids entertained for hours.

Ian got a cool new Harley Davidson BIG wheel from Gma Janene and Gpa Skip. This is definately a kid favorite too!

Dane decorated Ian's birthday cake and birthday poster (in the first picture). He was so proud of himself. I did help with the writing. I promise it tasted better than it looks. And I should know because I single-handedly ate 3/4 of that cake myself! I have no willpower when it comes to cake.
We LOVE you Ian!
