Dane's Best Day of 2009

Dane's first BMX race was quite the adventure. He made it to the semi finals and then came in 5th. He was so proud of himself and thought the trophy was the coolest thing ever. It was so great to see his enthusiasm. He even said he may go to BMX school instead of snowmobile school when he grows up. Way to go Dane!

1,200 Miles of Family Fun

This post is long over due. It was a long trip so it will be a long post. But if you like pictures, there are plenty. We decided to escape the snowy mountains and join all the other "Snowbirds" for some warmth and sun. We had a little sun and not much warmth. Dustin had a race in Arizona so the kids and I followed to watch the race and then continue on to Phoenix for a little R&R and family fun. Dustin's 2nd love. At least I hope myself and the kids are tied for 1st :)Dane and Nick watching the race. This lasted until it started raining cats and dogs and never stopped.Check out that booger! The race was great until the transmission blew up 100 miles from the finish. Bummer! And they were in the top three up until then. After the race we drove to Phoenix for family fun and to play with our friends Nick and Steph and little Chase. We also visited my Grandma Rose and Richard for a couple of hours. It was good to see them. My camera battery had died so no pictures with them. We had a great time, going to the Phoenix Zoo, the Children's Museum, and just relaxing and being together. I was amazed at how well everyone got along during our 11 days.

Dane was so proud of himself for making it to the top.
Dane and Ian at the Phoenix Children's Museum. If you ever make it to AZ with kids you definately need to check this place out. We stayed for 4 hours and never ran out of things to do. This is the only cute picture of the boys from there. I couldn't get them to sit still long enough for a picture.

Two silly boys. I swear they got along so well and had so much fun together. It made me look forward to more family vacations.
On our way home from Arizona we stopped for a night in St. George. Uncle Matty, Auntie Jen and cousins were there for Izzy's soccer tournament. We were able to watch a game and have a delicious Valentine's Day dinner with them. We also, visited my cousin Hannah and Josh who live there and my other cousin Jason and Robin and kids who were visiting from Wyoming. I didn't get a picture though.
Whew! There ya go. Hope you enjoyed it!
