Happy Birthday Abby!

My niece Abigail turned 1. We all went up to Idaho for the celebration. It was a polka dot party. Everything was decorated in polka-dots and everyone had to wear polka-dots.

Check out the adorable cakes my mom's friend made.

Megan did a cute matching game for the kids.

Abby also had an announcement to make. Enlarge the picture to read what is on her shirt. Congratulations Megan, Kim and Abby! Awesome party Megan.

Spoken Like a True Miller

Dane is proving to be more and more like his father in every way. Sorry no picture but I had to blog the conversation Dane and I had this morning.

Me: Today is a school day. Are you excited to see Mrs. Stephanie and your friends?

Dane: I can't go to school today.

Me: Why not?

Dane: Well, because, first I have to pick up my snowmobile from the shop. Then I have to ride it around for a while. Then I have to park it in the garage.

Me: (chuckling to myself) Sounds like you have a busy day.

Dane: Yeah. So I can't go to school today.

This is the conversation I am used to having with Dustin.... Just substitute the words school for work; and snowmobile for any activity involving a motor. Arrrgh!

We've Returned from Paradise

After a VERY long day of traveling we are home-sweet-home. I am too tired to think about unpacking and doing laundry so I thought I would blog instead. Enjoy a sampling of our Hawaii pictures.

Jealous much?

I know I am sooooo lame to blog again on vacation but we had such a fun day. We got babysitters for the kiddos and spent the day on the sea traveling to the Na Pali Coast, and whale & dolphin watching. Babysitters here rent at a steep price but it was well worth it to get away.

We saw quite a few whales but the greatest part was the dolphins that came right up to the boat and were following us. The pictures are blurry because the dolphins are under the water but honestly we were less than 5 feet away.

This is part of the Na Pali Coast. It is a beautiful place with a lot of history. The only way to get there now is by boat or to hike in the 11.5 miles. We took the lazy-man way, by boat. This is also where Jurassic Park was filmed. Pictures just don't do it justice. It is just a gorgeous place.

What a great day in paradise. Can't wait for tomorrow's activities... Love you and miss you all!

Hawaii

I don't want you to think I have nothing to do but blog on my family vacation. Just wanted you all to know that we are having a great family vacation in Hawaii. We stayed in Maui for 2 nights and are now in Kaua'i for a week. Traveling with kiddos is a challenge but we are having a great time being together as a family.

December In Review

Whew! The holiday season is over and we survived (barely)! Here is a recap of our fun and crazy month.
The lights at the Zoo were awesome. If you didn't see them you really missed out.

We had our annual Gingerbread House making party with family and a few neighborhood friends.

Elsha hosted breakfast with Santa. It was way better than going to the mall and standing in line forever. The kids had a great time. Elsha went all out as usual with great food.

(*Around this time we went on our annual Sun Valley ski trip. We had a great time, as usual. I was very bad and didn't take ANY pictures! Dane caught on to skiing really quick. We had to take him kicking and screaming off the mountain at the end of the day. Ian hung out in the ski lodge with Grandma's, aunts, cousins and friends. Dustin and I even got to ski by ourselves a few times.)

Christmas with Dustin's fam was great. Ian and Riley enjoyed picking on each other and being carried around by Izzy, Skye and Zoe. Dane loved his new track-hoe and spent the evening bossing around anyone who would listen. "Jackson! You get a shovel and start digging. Lillie! You get the roller and make the road flat!" It was hilarious.

On Christmas Eve we went sledding at Soldier Hollow with some neighbors. It was so much fun. A rope tow pulls you up the hill while you sit in your tube. Effortless sledding!

The Wray family annual Christmas eve party was great. We missed the three Emmett girls but were glad Lori, Laura and Clark were able to make it. The white elephant gifts are always a blast. Adam loves his new clown costume and the Denton's got stuck with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir plate. The decorative plate has been passed around the fam for the last 10 years. I had it for the last 2 and was glad to pass it on to someone else.

At last it was present time. Ian and Abbey had a great first Christmas. Dane was excited that Santa got him what was on his list. We sure enjoyed spending Christmas with my whole fam at our house. It was great to talk to Cannon in Oregon. We sure miss him but he sounds great and is doing well.

Christmas night was spent at the Allred's with family in town from Seattle and Georgia. My mom made up a fun matching game to play. Lots of good food and fun.

My cousins from Georgia spent the night at our house. We had fun going out for pizza and bowling. The next morning we had a blast sledding down our driveway.

It's a crappy picture but we had a fun New Year's. We rented a limo and went to Fleming's with some neighbors. Happy 2008! We had a great holiday season and are excited for the new year.
